Podolsky Bridge Crossing Project Dnieper River, Kiev - Ukrania:

Existing bridges in Kiev, the capital of Ukrania, have almost reached up to their full capacity in present. Therefore, in accordance with the Master Plan of Kiev, the Podolsky Bridge Crossing Project which provides a Metro / Highway transportation besides communication & utility lines transmissions over Dnieper river through isles in the territory from Podol to Voskresenka, is one of the most important project in Ukrania. It is estimated that a traffic of 62000 vehicles per day in both directions shall use this crossing in 2005. Apart from giving comfort to traffic flow, this crossing shall have a further social task of connecting right bank of the Dnieper river to left one, which is a continuously developing residential area having a population of about 300 thousand in present

The project is consisting of mainly three steel bridges, namely known as Dnipro, Gavan and Desenka, having lengths of 545, 566 and 314 m. respectively and four reinforced concrete viaducts having a total length of 2780 m., and 224 m. long reinforced concrete bridge over Raduga lake. The cross section of these bridge structures is planned as 2x3 lanes carriageways plus two metro lines in the lower deck. In cooperation with UKR-TUR INVEST, TEK-YEN is preparing the tender design of this project for Kiev Municipality.
